At Greystoke WI’s November meeting, Christine Rose from Bolton showed us how to use beautifully carved wooden blocks from India to block print onto fabric. We were able to print either a Christmas tea towel or a tote bag. We were very pleased with the results.

Our meeting, starting at 7.00pm, on Thursday 5 December is an AGM followed by a shared supper. There will also be carols from Greystoke Hand bell ringers.

In January there will be no meeting as we will be having a New Year Party instead. It will be the first celebration in our centenary year.

If you would like to join WI please contact Hazel McGrath.

Greystoke Social Club

St. Andrews Church Coffee Morning
Thank you to all the people who attended the Coffee Morning, held in Orchard Cottage, for the replacement of some very tired Kitchen Equipment.

We managed to raise £165. There were willing ladies helping with baking and serving the guests.

We were fortunate with the weather as well, making it a very pleasant morning.

Wendy

Greystoke Bingo Nights
Greystoke Bingo Nights will be held in the village hall on Fridays 6 December and 10 January 2020.

These bingo nights are our main fundraising activity of the year and can only take place thanks to the fantastic support we receive from our local community. There are great prizes to be won and everyone is welcome.

A huge thank you to everyone that has donated prizes and the dedicated village hall committee members who have collected those prizes.

Greystoke Village Hall – Soup & Puddings
The Soup & Puddings event that was held on Sunday 27 October was attended by around 80 people and raised the fantastic amount of £400, which will go towards the running costs of the hall.

Thank you to everyone who attended, contributed soups and puddings, and to everyone who helped out on the day.

We really do appreciate your support.
