Latest News and What's On in Greystoke in September 2020

Greystoke WI
Greystoke WI has investigated the possibility of holding a large meeting but only about half the membership were happy to do this at the present time. We will ask again in October. Newbiggin Hall is available for an afternoon meeting which may be an option if at least two thirds would like to meet, until our own village hall is again available.

Also we hope to have another round of cups of tea in a garden in the near future. Listen out for your phone ringing with that invite. Keep looking on our WI page for news and pictures of what members have been up to.

We are hoping to look at the banner items soon so if you said you would do something for it and have not done it yet, now the time to get going again. Items for the banner are also welcome from non-members. Let us know if you would like to do something.

Eileen Lund is willing to do short walks for those of us who are not so fit on a mid week day. If interested give Eileen a ring.

There are still books – lots of new titles, jigsaws, plants and FACE COVERINGS outside of Hazel’s, Howard Park, all donations going to Greystoke Church. So far we have collected about £700.00.

If you would like to join WI please contact Hazel McGrath.
