    – Judith Walsh (Service Leader), Graham Simons (Preacher)

Please note that we are now back to services taking place in church, all services commencing at 9.15am.

Everyone is welcome to attend our services.

Easter Services
We shall be sharing in Maundy Thursday and Good Friday services with the congregation of St Patrick’s Church in Patterdale.

Please contact John Danks for the times and a Zoom invite.

Easter Cross
As is the custom in Greystoke, a bare wooden cross will be placed on the village green on the evening of Maundy Thursday.

Everyone is invited to thatch the cross with spring flowers on Easter Day to commemorate the resurrection of Jesus Christ and perhaps this year as a sign of the hope of a happier time to come.

If you have no flowers in your garden then some will be placed at the foot of the cross for you to use.

Church Remains Open
The church remains open daily for anyone who wants to spend some time in quiet or to pray.

Please comply with the Covid regulations which are displayed.

Many thanks to everyone who opens or locks the church, or cleans the pews daily.

Greystoke WI
Greystoke WI hopes to start the 2021 programme with a trip to Orton on Thursday 8 July if the Roadmap out of lockdown proceeds as planned. Please note the change of day. It would be to view Jackie Hucks’ dollhouses, look around Orton and have lunch at a café. Further details will be circulated.

As restrictions ease and we are allowed to meet in groups of six outside we would hope to restart meetings for coffee or tea.

Hazel’s table is laden once again with books and jigsaws.

NHS Day is to be on Monday 5 July and we are considering fund raising for it with, possibly, a coffee morning on Saturday 3 July in the village hall (subject to it being open). We would be fundraising for NHS Charities Together and the National Care Association.

Our new year in WI starts in April. If you would like to give WI a trial run, you could join our emailing list for three months and think about joining us properly when meetings start up again.

If you wish to join WI, please contact Hazel on 83 685.[/et_pb_cta][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section]
