Sunday 4 October – Holy Communion
Sunday 11 October – Harvest Praise
Sunday 18 October – Holy Communion
Sunday 25 October – Morning Praise
Everyone is welcome to attend our services, all will be held in St. Andrew’s Church starting at 9.15am.
Government rules require everyone to wear a face-mask.
Harvest Praise
We shall be collecting gifts at the Harvest Praise service on Sunday 11 October.
Any tinned or dry goods will be sent to the Salvation Army for use in the Food Bank which they run.
Fresh goods will be sold and the proceeds added to that day’s collection. This will be sent to the Bishop of Carlisle’s Harvest Appeal which supports overseas farming projects in Malawi and Zululand.
Food Bank
Many thanks to those who continue to support the Penrith Food bank by continuing to leave food in St. Andrew’s Church.
The table for food is just to the right of the door as you enter.
Many Thanks
St. Andrew’s Annual Meeting
The church annual meeting, delayed from April will be held using Zoom on Monday 12 October at 6.30pm.
Contact John Danks (017684 80 661) for the link details if you wish to attend.
Greystoke Labyrinth
The labyrinth cut into the south side of Greystoke churchyard is becoming more established, and is well used.
A labyrinth is an ancient symbol of wholeness, examples of which have been found the world over, for thousands of years. The Greystoke labyrinth is now registered on the World-Wide Labyrinth Locator.
We would like to plant bulbs into the labyrinth in October and are looking for donations of bulbs – any variety at all. You can bring them to the churchyard, or to Shelagh Goldie, or come and plant them yourself the weekend of 17 October.
Further information about the labyrinth is on site, do go and walk round it and see how you feel!
For further information please contact Shelagh Goldie.
Swimming Pool Draw
Thank you to all who continue to give your support to the Swimming Pool Monthly Draw, supporting a worthwhile cause whilst being in with a chance of winning a cash prize; it’s a win/win!
Congratulations to the winners of August and September’s Monthly Draws.
