What is Alpha?

Alpha is a place to explore life, faith and meaning, an opportunity to explore the big questions of life. The sessions start with refreshments, followed by a video, finishing with a discussion about what you think.

Who is Alpha for?

Alpha is for anyone who’s curious. The sessions are designed to encourage conversation and explore Christian faith in a friendly, open and informal environment. No question is out of bounds and you are free to join in the conversation or just listen. If you’ve done Alpha before, why not invite a friend and maybe come with them.

What’s involved?

Alpha runs for an hour and a half, every week for ten weeks, starting the week commencing 7 October 2024. You don’t have to commit to the whole course, just come along for one session and see what you think. We’re flexible on which days and times work for you, just let us know when you sign up and we’ll look to accommodate you.

Who’s running the course?

Alpha is run by the local church in the parishes of Greystoke, Penruddock and Mungrisdale.
