    Hayes Garden World 015394 33434

Hayes and they will gladly deliver to Greystoke once a week. You will have to ring them direct or email them with a list of what you would like. There will be a delivery charge of £5 or £10 per order. They will wait until a few orders for the village have gone in and then deliver in one day.

Here’s what they say on their Facebook Page:

We have implemented a temporary personal shopper service. Delivery will be just £10 and will cover the local area between Keswick in the north and Kendal in the south. You don’t have to neglect your garden, feel that you cannot buy that special person their birthday present or starve your feathered friends. Don’t worry, we are here to help just give us a call on 015394 33434 or email: and we will get back to you.

It is crucial for the elderly and those who are self-isolating that they have exercise and fresh air. Monty Don says that the secret to happiness is getting outside into the natural world. Even if you are not lucky enough to live in the countryside you can still sow a few seeds or put out a bird feeder. Now that you have the time plant up that container, sow a tray of lettuce leaves or dig over and mulch the border. Whether you want 50 bags of compost or a packet of bird seed we can help.

Keeping the garden in good order can be hugely beneficial to your mental health.

Almost everything we sell in the shop will be available for delivery, so if you can’t get out for that special present, we can gift wrap and deliver for you. You’ve always said that you didn’t have the time to spruce up the patio, well now you have, so get out the power washer, have a good clean, plant some herb pots, get yourself that new barbecue and garden furniture and you’ll soon be ready to enjoy the summer.

The driver will ring the bell and leave the goods in a designated delivery area without waiting for an answer in order to minimise any personal contact.

All you have to do is call the store on and you will be directed to one of our experienced personal shoppers who will be able to help and advise. Whatever the query just call, even if you just want a chat about how to sow your seeds, how to water your Peace Lily or what to feed your sparrows.

Stay safe and we’ll see you back in store soon.
