The Fellowship Group

An ecumenical fellowship group, known as Pilgrims in Progress (PIP), meets regularly to study the scriptures. The meeting usually starts with Worship led by one of the group, followed by Study and Prayer, finishing with Cake! The study material comes from a number of sources and members are encouraged to share the leadership. New members are always welcome. Contact telephone number 017684 80661.

Food Bank

The church provides a collecting point for the local food bank which is run by The Salvation Army in Penrith. Members of the congregation are encouraged to provide one item of food each week. The wider village community also actively supports this initiative, with the posts on the Facebook group regularly highlighting any specific items needed that week.

Open The Book

An ecumenical team of folk from the churches and communities of Greystoke and Penruddock have been presenting bible story based assemblies at both our Primary schools since 2012. We use the material from www.openthebook.net to present bible stories using storytelling and mime with simple props. Each presentation, including a song or two, takes about 20 minutes. The material satisfies OFSTED requirements, the schools are delighted and the children can’t wait to volunteer to help. We have a lot of fun doing this, and would be delighted to have more people join our Team. Contact telephone number Greystoke Rectory: 017684 80661.
