Pottery Classes

We run pottery classes on Thursday morning and afternoon for a block of 6 weeks, covering all the pottery making methods and glazing the finished pieces.  You can either choose to try all of the techniques or work on a project of your own. Finished pieces are first fired to 1,000deg.C, then glazed and fired again in a gas kiln to 1280 deg.C. Our classes are limited to a maximum of 4 students,

We provide refreshments and biscuits.

How to Book

A 6 week course costs £180 and there is a small charge for the finished pieces of £4 per kilo.

Bunkers Hill Dairy sells unpasteurised farm fresh milk direct to the consumer from a top of the range self-service vending machine. Sterilised 1 and 2 litre containers are provided. A family business spanning 3 generations, the dairy farm concentrates on producing the highest quality milk from their Dairy Shorthorn cows – renowned for their creamy milk. 

Alongside the vending machine, you can also purchase local cheeses, farmhouse butter, home made fudge, potatoes, free range eggs and seasonal items such as carrots and ice-cream.

In recognition of the quality of milk being sold directly, Mike Walsh won Northern Dairy Farmer of the year 2017.

This is a gentle and nurturing Hatha class adaptable to all levels including beginners and those recovering from injury. Hatha yoga is the classic, traditional style of yoga with some postures on the mat and some standing.  Each class includes meditation and relaxation.
