Pottery Classes

We run pottery classes on Thursday morning and afternoon for a block of 6 weeks, covering all the pottery making methods and glazing the finished pieces.  You can either choose to try all of the techniques or work on a project of your own. Finished pieces are first fired to 1,000deg.C, then glazed and fired again in a gas kiln to 1280 deg.C. Our classes are limited to a maximum of 4 students,

We provide refreshments and biscuits.

How to Book

A 6 week course costs £180 and there is a small charge for the finished pieces of £4 per kilo.

We offer a lovely and eclectic range of day courses in Arts, Crafts and Heritage Skills here at Greystoke Craft Garden (formerly the Cycle Café) between March and December every year.

Courses include Silver, Pewter, Glass, Stone, Sculpture, Raku, Porcelain, Rush, Textiles, Willow, Baking, Print, Pen, Paint & Stitch, Wool, Wood & much more.

Day Courses include all refreshments and delicious food making memorable days out. Many view our workshops as treats and enjoy sharing them with others by giving them as presents for special occasions. Quirky Vouchers’ make the perfect original gift.
