In response to the growing support for a village website to be set up, please find the following information:
Each person, business or service subscribing will be included in one of the following 6 categories:
- ACCOMMODATION Holiday Cottages, Hotels, Guest Houses, Bed and Breakfasts, Self Catering, Lodges, Caravan and Camping.
- SHOPS AND SERVICES Village Shop, Local Businesses, Trades and Services.
- COMMUNITY AND CLUBS Village Hall, Pre School Playgroups, Primary School, Brownies, Guides, Scouts, WI, Sports, Clubs and Societies.
- LOCAL ACTIVITIES Including attractions for visitors as well as our community: Swimming Pool, Places of Interest, Things to Do and Walks.
- EATING AND DRINKING Pubs, Restaurants, Cafés and Tea Rooms.
- CHURCH AND CASTLE Weddings, Church, History and Church Groups.
In addition to the 6 categories, there will be the following additional pages: Location, History and a News Page.
The website will be clean and easy to use and over time gain a good Search Engine Listing.
The set up cost will include inserting the listing into the website and also the first years subscription.
The set up cost will be £25.00.
There will be an annual subscription every year of £15.00 on 30th April to each listing to cover the ongoing costs.
Any modifications to a listing will be charged at £15.00.
These set up and subscription costs detailed above will be reviewed after 1 year from 30th April.
These costs will cover the costs of management, domain and hosting expenses. The website will be overseen by a website administrator who manages the domain name and hosting of the website. The website administrator will update the content and be responsible for all the information displayed.
Each listing will be the same, so that there is no preferential treatment.
The listing will consist of 3 images, 75 character heading, 100 word description, address, telephone, email and website link.

and businesses and it may be that, in time, that some changes are made to the categories.
